Here are some helpful links to practice your grammar rules.


We love to sing School House Rock songs to help us learn.  If you click here, you can find the videos we have used in class or will use in the future.  Enjoy!

If you need to practice nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and so on...go to this site!  Play "Grammar Gorilla" and see how many you can get correct.

Answer the questions correctly in "Grammar Blast" and you earn game points to play other fun games. 



Reading

Below are links to sites that might interest you when looking for different books to read.


Here's a list of books that is recommended for 4th and 5th Graders.  Check it out and see how many you can read from the list this year. 


GIRLS - here's a list that's been created especially for you!  You can also rate the book so the creator of the website knows if it's worth it to keep it on the list.  


BOYS - your list is a little different than the girls'.  You can see a list on Amazon.com and then use those to look for books in the library.  Don't buy any books on Amazon, but use it to search for great books recommended for boys your age.


Writing

Want to work on some writing? Here are some sites to help you.


If you would like to improve your prompt writing, here is a site that gives you ideas for prompts.  Feel free to write to one of these prompts and show me once you've finished!

Wanting different ideas for prompts or maybe some that are ways to help you work up to 4th or 5th grade writing skills and beyond?  Then check out this site.  It gives you prompt ideas from kindergarten to 5th grade.  Scroll down to find the upper grade prompts.  If you have a printer, ask your parents and you can print one off and write on the cool paper they give you.
